Students are an integral part of the American Fisheries Society and they bring the newest ideas as well as energy and enthusiasm to annual meetings. It is also a well known fact that graduate students are the fuel that drives the engine of any university research lab! The WA-BC AGM in Richmond, BC will be a great opportunity for students to not only present their latest research results, but also network with colleagues and future employers.
Some of the items that may be of particular interest to students are summarized below.
Travel scholarships are available to WA-BC AFS Chapter students (undergraduate and graduate) to help with travel, registration and accommodation costs at the meeting. Please fill out the application form below and submit it to the contact person indicated on the forms. The application deadline is January 16, 2015 – and must be received NO LATER THAN 5 PM. The application can be submitted by post or email. Preference will be given to students that are presenting either a poster or talk at the meeting.
